About

Around the world there are millions of us sharing our lives through our personal blogs. Like other bloggers, our blogs require commitment and effort. Like other bloggers, our blogs are an ongoing learning experience. And, like other bloggers, we want to blog better.

Out there in the blogosphere there are many great resources for bloggers but the information and advice just doesn’t always seem to make sense when it comes to personal blogging.

Blogging Personal is written for personal bloggers. It is about discussing how that advice does apply. And how it doesn’t.

There is not a lot of conversation about personal blogs; about how we define them, why we write them, and why we read them. There is not a lot of conversation about the specific rewards and difficulties of what we do, about the process, or about our goals how we can achieve them.

Blogging Personal aims to open a dialogue, to provide a space where we can talk about about what we do, something we often don’t have room to discuss on our own blogs. It is a place where we can ask questions and, together, find answers.

Necessarily, the articles I write will contain my own opinions and my own perspective, but I hope to be able to present you with a number of different voices and I invite you to take part in the conversation.

It is the dialogue which will make this a personal blogging resource, more than anything else.

If you have any questions or comments, please email me via the Contact Page. If you are interested in writing for Blogging Personal, calls for submissions and submission guidelines are coming soon.

Thank you for participating.

Yours,

Lani Giesen
